Bank Holiday!

Well the Spring Bank Holiday is almost upon us! The Bar, Restaurant and Take-away are all open Friday through to and including Monday. Fresh, home-cooked food, fish and chips followed by a nice cold drink because it is going to be warm (hopefully). Don’t forget carvery on Sunday! Our over 50′s deals are still on! £85 for two people with electric for a seven-night stay until 24 May, we still have limited availability!

Christmas!

Well Christmas is almost upon us. We have the Christmas markets and Santa’s grotto in the City Centre and not forgetting the Christmas Ice Rink! Loads of places to eat and drink whilst doing your Christmas shopping!

On site the bar is open from 23rd December until night of 1st January inclusive (except Christmas Day – we have to have a day off once a year!) There will be Disco/Karaoke on New Years Eve and a Buffet will be available as well (no mince pies or turkey I promise!).

As always the site is open all year and we welcome people in from the cold – why not try one of our premier pitches so there is no dragging water and waste around! Definitely worth it when it is so cold!

Why not check out our over 50′s deals for 2013, definitely worth the money and early booking is advised.

Thanks for reading

Winter at Riverside

The site is still open and there are lots of things happening in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. We have got the Continental Market in the City Centre on Saturday and there is the Cornwall Food and Drink Festival on this weekend in Truro. Loads of lovely walks through the autumnal woods and by the riverbank to see the kingfishers and other wildlife. If you fancy a walk out on to picuresque Dartmoor why not stop and have lunch in one of the many village pubs that have got real fires to make you welcome and real ales that will warm you up.

We still have places available for Christmas if you want to come and visit family (or if you want to get away from family!).

End of Season Entertainment

Well the season for entertainment is nearly over!  We have got Eric Lovaine on Thursday ( a must not miss!), Kirsty Johnson (as always brilliant) on Friday and of course Kev with disco and karaoke on Saturday for the kids and big kids!!!!

Entertainment!

The entertainment for the season is now in full swing!  Tonight we have got Disco and Karaoke for the children (and the big children!), tomorrow night we have got the ever popular Eric Lovaine (comedy for all ages!), Friday night is Jonny Phoenix (singer, Elvis!) and Saturday we have got Disco and Karaoke with Kev!

The sun has got his hat on!

The jetstream has finally moved away and we are enjoying lovely sunshine at Riverside.  The outdoor, heated swimming pool is getting full use and as it is in close proximity to the take-away, bar and restaurant everyone is able to get refreshment whilst enjoying it.  Our entertainment for the season started with Kirsty Johnson who sings a wide variety of songs which include Adele, Amy Winehouse and oldies for us all to enjoy.  She was well received and everyone enjoyed themselves.  We have entertainment most evenings which includes Disco & Karaoke, Kirsty Johnson, Johnny Phoenix, Keith Ralston and, of course, our all time favourite, Eric Lovaine who provides us with comedy for all ages!  We have grill nights on Saturday and Carvery on a Sunday at 7pm (booking essential).

Come and join us!

Summer has arrived !!!

Morning All

I know it’s still officially the spring but with a few days of warm, sunny weather it feels like summer has arrived ! Preparations continue for the main season (see pool photo) and we are looking forward to opening the bar, restaurant, takeaway and swimming pool next week. The facilities will then remain open until September. The Jubilee bank holiday weekend will be busy for us, we only have a handful of pitches left, so get in touch soon if you plan to come and see us. Also we are planning some form of celebration for the bank holiday Monday, I will let you know more when I know more !

Keep watching, enjoy the weather and hope to see you all soon.

National Armed Forces Day – 30th June                      Plymouth is fortunate to be the host city this year for the National Armed Forces Day, when everyone can see and pay tribute to our wonderful armed forces. A spectacular and exciting day of entertainment, air and sea displays and activities for the whole family is planned.

British Fireworks Championships – 14th & 15th August         The most anticipated event in the city’s annual events calendar will see thousands of spectators heading up to the Hoe for two evenings of entertainment culminating in spectacular fireworks displays.

In addition to the above Plymouth will also feature FlavourFest, P1 Powerboats series, Music of the Night and many others. I will post more details of all events closer to the time but if you want view details yourself please visit -

Finally, the picture below is NOT at Riverside but in Yorkshire and just goes to show how hardy (or should that be mad) the caravanning community are ! It also reminds me to remind you that come rain, snow or sun, Riverside is open to welcome visitors every day of the year.
